Neoverse Technologies Launches Project HyperGrid to Build the UAE's Power and Data Center Capacity for the AI Era
The Abu Dhabi company begins with Bitcoin mining hosting on a grid-connected site, with AI compute hosting planned as the next phase

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — Neoverse Technologies, a data center development and construction company based in Abu Dhabi, today announced Project HyperGrid, a UAE power and data center initiative designed to secure land, power and facilities ahead of growing demand for AI computing in the region. The project starts by hosting Bitcoin mining on a grid-connected site and is planned to expand into new sites and AI compute hosting.
Around the world, demand for AI computing is rising faster than new power and data center capacity can be built. Grid connections, land and finished facilities have become the slowest parts of the chain. Project HyperGrid is built on the view that the regions which prepare this infrastructure early will be the ones ready to host the next wave of AI workloads.
“The constraint on AI is no longer chips alone, it is power and the buildings to put it in,” said Emil Huremovic, Co-Founder & Strategy Director of Neoverse Technologies. “With HyperGrid we are building that foundation in the UAE now, so that when demand for AI compute arrives here at scale, the land, power and facilities are already in place.”
Project HyperGrid is planned in two phases. In the first phase, Neoverse Technologies will develop and operate a grid-connected facility hosting Bitcoin mining, which uses power around the clock and puts the infrastructure to productive use from the start. In the second phase, the company plans to add new sites and extend its offering to AI compute hosting, drawing on the same land, power and operating base.
“Building data centers is about discipline: securing power, delivering on schedule and running facilities reliably every day,” said Danish Rashid Jakhura, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Neoverse Technologies. “Phase one lets us build and operate to a high standard from day one, and that operating experience carries straight into the AI facilities that follow.”
The UAE has positioned itself as a global hub for artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, backed by national strategy, investment in energy and a business environment that supports large-scale projects. Neoverse Technologies sees the country as well placed to attract AI workloads as power and data center capacity tighten in other markets.
“HyperGrid gives our partners and customers a clear path: dependable hosting today and AI-ready capacity tomorrow,” said Christiaan van den Heever, Co-Founder & Commercial Director of Neoverse Technologies. “We are building it with long-term partnerships in mind, for the companies that will need power and space in the UAE over the coming decade.”
“Infrastructure of this kind is a long-term commitment, and we are structuring HyperGrid to be financially disciplined at every phase,” said Joanna Dileto, Co-Founder & Finance Director of Neoverse Technologies. “Starting with hosting that uses the infrastructure from day one gives the project a sound footing as it grows into AI.”
Further details on Project HyperGrid will be shared as the project progresses.
